Aleisha Rockliffe - Floor Manager/ Wellness Coach

Picture
Hi my name is Aleisha Rockliffe, born and bred in Tauranga, NZ. Since I was young I have had a huge passion for health and wellness and have been heavily involved in sports throughout my
life.

I completed a Bachelor of sport and exercise science in 2012 and spent my last two years while completing this as a group fitness instructor/personal trainer.

In November 2012 I made the big move here to Whangarei hoping to expand my knowledge and share my experience within the industry. I could not have made a better decision as the atmosphere and friendly members here at Fitness Plus have made me feel just at home.

I love all sports and being outdoors and to maintain my own fitness I run daily and complete cross-fit workouts whenever I get a chance.

Nutrition is also a huge priority of mine-as you are what you eat! So I am also here to give nutrition help/advice when needed. I take every clients goals seriously and believe if you put in the hard work anything is possible.

Alex Hannam - Wellness Coach

My name is Alex and I am a fitness junkie! This wasn’t always the case. I detested P.E in school & would regularly fake mystery illnesses to avoid the class.

I discovered the gym by accident, when I was dragged to a beginner’s group fitness class. It was the longest hour of my life & although it almost killed me, it was the harsh wake-up call I needed & spurred me into action.

I then stumbled into the weight’s room (I must have been lost!) & realised I loved
‘feeling the burn’ – not to mention beating the boys at push up competitions – haha.  It wasn’t long before I was a committed gym bunny.

In 2010 I decided to make my hobby my occupation, so I attended the Max College for
Fitness professionals.  I now wonder why I waited so long to work in the best industry ever.

I’m thrilled to help people feel better about themselves every day & I would love to help you realise your fitness
potential.

Courtney Sandilands - Wellness Coach

Hi my name is Courtney Sandilands. I was born and bred in Whangarei, NZ. I am a real people person with a passion for physical fitness and the outdoors.

I have a Bachelor of Physical Education majoring in Exercise Prescription and Management from Otago University (2005). While at university I was a gym floor instructor as well as taking circuit classes. During this time I also instructed fall prevention classes for the elderly and group exercise classes.

In 2005 –2006 I worked as a personal trainer in Auckland before joining the NZ Police where I have been working for the last 7 years. During this time I have continued to be involved in gyms and my own training for road cycling and running events.

In March 2013 I moved home to Whangarei after 12 years and I am currently taking a break from Policing.

I enjoy fitness and take pride in maintaining my own fitness standards and love helping people achieve their
fitness and health goals.

Hey everyone! I have lived most my life here in Whangarei, as I am from
Mangakahia.

After finishing my studies at Northland Polytech, I started my Personal training
apprenticeship with Les Mills in Auckland in 2000.

After 2 years with Les Mills, I came back to Whangarei and worked for myself under World
of fitness, Personal Training for another 7 years.

I especially enjoy strength training and netball, although after having two boys, I’ve found
myself getting into Pilates and core strengthening lately.

Majority of my clients in the past have been focussing on strength/muscle gain, mummy
tummies, and weight loss.

I am absolutely loving it here at Fitness Plus! The staff and members have been really awesome to get to know.

I hope you can all feel that if there is anything I might be able to help any of you with,
don’t be shy to come and find me at the desk or on the gym floor….looking
forward to meeting everyone!
