Fitness Plus was set up in January 2009 by Skye and Jon Renes to compliment the Fizeo Works Physiotherapy Clinic Skye established in 2008 and to also cater to a need for a dedicated Health Club in the Port area of Whangarei.
Our Mission is to create a warm and friendly atmosphere with the best quality facilities and equipment and welcoming staff who are keen to assist our members in feeling relaxed, comfortable, and empowered in striving for their Health, Fitness, and Wellness Goals.

- A comprehensive consultation and appraisal process that revolves around you. We know how intimidating gyms can be and how hard it is to embark on an exercise routine which is why we endeavour to develop a program that fits you rather than trying to make you fit a program.
- Individualised programming and regular program monitoring. We put no limits on working with you to achieve your health and wellness goals which is why we offer unlimited program consultations, appraisals, and programs. You can also expect to be treated as an individual with a program developed specifically for you catering to your strengths, weaknesses, and exercise and fitness aspirations.
- Facilitating understanding, awareness, and ownership of exercise and activity routines. As the saying goes 'knowledge is power' and to this end our Computerised Wellness System provides you with key workout information to help you get the most out of the time you spend exercising.
Our Membership Rates are:
12 month EziPay
- $99.00 joining fee and first 4 weeks, then
- $17.00 per week therafter
- $15.00 per week for Seniors and Students
6 month EziPay
- $99.00 joining fee and first 4 weeks, then
- $19.00 per week therafter
- $17.00 per week for Seniors and Students
- $233.00 joining fee and first 8 weeks
- $21.00 per week therafter for no fixed term
- $19.00 per week for Seniors and Students
- Upgrade to our computerised Wellness System for an extra $2.00 per week.
- All weekly amounts are paid fortnightly via direct debit.
Our Opening Hours are:
Monday to Thursday 6am to 8pm
Friday 6am to 7pm
Saturday/Sunday and Public Holidays 8am to 12pm
Friday 6am to 7pm
Saturday/Sunday and Public Holidays 8am to 12pm
